Turnabout Retail (TR) is a collection of retail experts brought together by their common passion for the retail industry and the opportunities that exist. The concept revolves around an incubator style approach. Significant investment in time and resource has been made to build a solid retail infrastructure designed to provide support to retail brands. This investment includes a state of the art POS and merchandising IT system as well as key staff to operate it in an optimal manner. Our network of first class retail support staff reaches into every facet of retail. With people and structure in place, alongside the current economic climate, numerous opportunities have presented themselves and TR is seeking a partner to create a Retail Incubator Fund. This fund would take advantage of the opportunities in the retail industry currently. The TR model is to invest as a minority shareholder but in doing so secure a management contract with monthly fees; and by virtue of investing generate dividends and interest payments, where applicable. Typically, at this stage, the initial investment is repaid within 2 years. Experience shows us that small to medium size retail brands typically need expertise to guide them through the difficult stages of growth. Many brands stagnate at certain levels or find themselves in difficulty due to constraints in management ability and resources. The investment by TR is a combination of evidence of commitment as well as funds for growth. Current and potential opportunities exist for partial to full equity deals, in Australian and International brands that would all benefit from the existing retail infrastructure. With TR controlling / managing the ventures and spreading the investments over a wider cross section of retail categories, the risk is minimised.
