About Tutor Without Borders

Tutor Without Borders was founded in 2020, in the midst of the pandemic, with the aim of helping students succeed in school while mitigating the risks of the pandemic on academic performance and mental health. Minou, the founder, has been tutoring for over 10 years and graduated from University of Toronto with Bachelor of Science and Master of Education degrees. Her graduate studies focused on developmental psychology and education, and she strives to use this knowledge and experience to bridge the gap between prioritizing mental health and optimizing academic performance. Through this company, she hopes to encourage the youth to have a passion for learning new things and improving, while instilling a sense of self-confidence. Now more than ever, it's important for students to understand that they are more than their grades, and what is more important is their understanding of the concepts. Our classes are designed to put the student first and foremost - there is no "one size fits all" for learning, hence classes are tailored to meet the individual needs and expectations of each student, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment so they feel comfortable asking questions without hesitation.
