Two Thousand Word Pictures® is an independent cinematic production company with a focus on creating unorthodox stories steeped in the seduction of spiritual liberation through visual beauty & incisive honesty. The core impetus for this label is to manifest art that not only sustains an autonomous integrity from the changing winds of profit-driven motives, but that likewise imparts a certain belief in an uncompromising ideal of cinema for its own sake. Although we thoroughly understand that monetary profit is highly crucial & fundamental to both our investors & the successful continuation of this company, nevertheless, our ethos is to never go so far as to attenuate the bold confidence of our art for the mercurial character that is generally attendant with commercial considerations. Rather than becoming yet another enterprise confirming the dominant feedback mechanism that enforces a single approach of what constitutes exemplar cinema - i.e. well-crafted, moderately challenging escapism - we aspire towards engendering a wholly different conceptualization of the form: a cinema of in-escapism; a mirror turned upon its audience with a confrontational view of the inescapable reflection that they themselves cast. It is thereby that we hope to affect the subconscious of our spectators in such a method as to embark their thought processes upon an entirely reinvigorated pathway of approaching the world, their perceptions of it, their actions take toward it & the attitudes that inform these; & so much more we cannot foresee. By thus aiming to show our viewers their own image in the contextual vehicle of an engaging & unique tale, we seek to adjust & tamper with a collective consciousness bound by unquestioned normalization of the systemic & dogmatic doldrums of society, & by extension the human condition itself.
