About Tynedale Hospice At Home
Tynedale Hospice at Home provides nursing care to people in their own homes with life limiting illnesses, pre and post bereavement support, patient transport, and complementary therapy. Our catchment is people registered at GP practices in West Northumberland, Tynedale and Ponteland. All services are provided free of charge as a result of charitable giving, and funds raised through our retail arm and fundraising activity. We have a team of Registered Nurses and Hospice Support Workers who deliver nursing care and are supported by over 250 volunteers who work across our retail, patient transport and bereavement services. It costs over £1.7m a year to run our services and 96% must be raised through fundraising, our retail arm and voluntary giving.
