Tzofia is the only website of its kind to provide deep, authentic, thought-provoking Torah wisdom for English-speaking Jewish women. Several online platforms geared towards women tend to carry superficial and “fluffy” content and fail to properly address women’s mitzvot and characteristics. Tzofia provides real answers to questions women ask about commandments that are related to them. It seeks to strengthen Jewish women’s Avodat Hashem by tackling topics that are relevant to their daily lives. One of Tzofia’s unique components is that it is an “accelerator” of young talents. It enables women to share their knowledge and gives them the necessary support to advance their skills and career through the mediums of writing, podcasting and audio classes. As opposed to other existing websites who seek to offer women a different perspective, Tzofia is faithful to Halakha, Orthodox Judaism and Daat Torah. It is headed by Dayan Shlomo Cohen, graduate of The Institute of Monetary Law and Yeshivat Hanegev, and an esteemed teacher at Neve Yerushalayim, a well-known Jerusalem-based seminary for women. One of the other unique aspects of Tzofia is that it explores various controversial topics and issues that many are afraid to speak about, including women’s role in Judaism, women in Halakha, women’s testimony in court, a woman’s get, women’s Torah learning, etc; all of this from an authentic Torah approach. Tzofia has no parallel in the Orthodox world, neither in Israel nor abroad.
