About UBC CSCE Student Chapter
The Canadian Society for Civil Engineering (CSCE) unites engineers throughout Canada by promoting professional development and continued learning. It serves as a platform on which to exchange knowledge and network, founded with three key ideas: --“to facilitate the acquisition and interchange of professional knowledge among its members.” --“to promote the acquisition of that species of knowledge which has special reference to the profession of civil engineering.” --“to encourage investigation in connection with all branches and departments of knowledge connected with the profession.” The UBC CSCE Student Chapter is proud to support student learning and involvement in the engineering community by hosting educational and professional events including: --Guest Speaker Luncheons --Facility Tours --Annual Civil Industry Night --Professional Development Workshops In addition to UBC CSCE Student Chapter events, welcome to all Civil Engineering students at UBC, students may choose to become official members of the CSCE and receive additional benefits that include: --Seasonal publications of CSCE’s The Canadian Civil Engineer --Discounts to local, regional, and national events hosted by CSCE associations --CSCE Scholarships --The opportunity to network and develop professional skills by becoming actively involved in CSCE operations Students, undergraduate and graduate, interested in becoming an official members and increasing their involvement in the UBC CSCE Student Chapter can contact us by emailing ubc (dot) csce (at) gmail (dot) com.
