About UBC Quantum Club

NOTE: We welcome and invite students of all levels: from absolute beginners to avid quantum circuit architects! Quantum technology, especially quantum information and quantum computing, will shape our future. Though still in its infancy, quantum computing is well-positioned for high-impact applications in drug and material discovery, finance, cryptography, and the like. It is more important now than ever for the UBC student community to engage in the learning and solving of quantum computing problems. We provide hands-on workshops and 1-on-1 mentorship to help students navigate available resources (with a focus on application), explore their interests, and accelerate their abilities in quantum computing. Peer-facilitated learning and co-working sessions are organized to support members in developing their own projects in quantum computing (albeit for fun or for future aspirations). We partner with companies, organizations, and research institutes to host seminars and industry nights to expose members to field-leading research and employment opportunities.
