About Ubuntu NPO
ABOUT UBUNTU NPO Ubuntu NPO is a non-profit organisation that is operated by the youth of Durban for the youth of Durban. It was established in 2019 with a purpose of uprooting the African youth from the different disadvantaged communities in KZN. Ubuntu NPO’s main target audience is primary and high school students from the disadvantaged communities. The projects and programs planned and implemented by Ubuntu NPO expose the African youth to empowerment, development, growth, leadership and a shift in mind set that encourages them to step into the path of a bright future. Ubuntu NPO does this by: • Creating and implementing projects and programs that will uplift the African youth from the disadvantaged communities • Connecting the targeted primary and high schools to “Connectors” – connectors are different people that support Ubuntu NPO with donations and providing access to resources that will assist the targeted primary and high schools. VISION I am because you are, you are because I am Curating a space that consists of opportunities, resources and providing a pedestal for the African youth to build and achieve their goals. MISSION To implement different projects and programs that are beneficial to the African youth and that pave a way for them to achieve their careers and personal goals. Ubuntu NPO strongly believes in “I am because you are, you are because I am”. We live in a society that is an ecosystem – one has to share in order to develop the community.
