About UCCS Model United Nations

UCCS Model United Nations is a competitive on-campus club that works with students of all majors to build diplomacy, research, and speaking skills. Members travel around the United States to compete in international-level competitions, where delegates role-play countries and world leaders in a mock simulation of real-world events. Alongside competing, members attend two weekly meetings where they work with the following delegates in practices, speaking drills, communication building, and research preparation. UCCS MUN's primary focus is to create a sense of community on campus while spreading the love of diplomacy and solution-based conversations with local high schools and international centers in Colorado Springs. Board and committee members also partner with Universities to create competitive, challenging, unique conferences hosted on campus for high schools and universities around the nation to attend. This requires teaching our team how to chair, create background guides, perform backroom staff duties, and build multi-dimensional crises. UCCS MUN stands for a diverse, inclusive, educated, and collaborative future built by youth leaders. This collegiate organization's role is to improve the lives of students who wish to advance their academic careers through supportive and challenging extracurricular ventures.
