About UDETI

From the Founder, Yvette Bansal: I am a former U.S. Consular Officer with 11 years of government service, including five years with the U.S. Department of State in New Delhi and Mumbai. During that time, I adjudicated more than 40,000 visas across key categories and served as Deputy Fraud Prevention Manager. Those experiences gave me a deep understanding of how consular officers make decisions and the high stakes many visa applicants face. In 2022, I founded UDETI, a consultancy dedicated to bridging the gap between what consular officers expect and the limited, sometimes misleading information available to applicants. What I discovered after leaving government was that the problem wasn’t just a lack of clarity from the Department of State—it was also the rise of predatory actors and well-meaning but misinformed people spreading bad advice. At UDETI, most consultants are managerial-level consular chiefs who have served around the world and worked across every visa class. Together, we provide solutions at both the institutional and individual level: For universities and partners, we offer courses, webinars, staff training, and outreach to subagents. For individuals: personalised visa interview preparation that corrects misinformation, bridges communication gaps/misunderstandings, helps you strategise, and builds confidence. Our mission: To empower visa applicants with expert, transparent, and personalized preparation—delivered by former U.S. Consular Officers—so they can approach high-stakes interviews with confidence, avoid costly mistakes, and maximize their chances of success.
