It is taught and practised by thousands of therapists and fitness professionals in countries such as Belgium and Spain and it is used as part of hospital procedures and postpartum recovery protocols. Hypopressives have been used for years in these countries, by urinary-gynaecological physiotherapists, to treat prolapses and incontinence and it has a strong clinical background. But, as much of the method’s research findings are in Spanish, only recently is the knowledge filtering through to the English-speaking communities. At UK Hypopressives, our intention is to help inform, educate and train the public and health and fitness professionals about the truly staggering benefits of this practise. The owners of the business, Nikki and Rich, have themselves been trained by Dr Caufriez’s organisation in Spain. We never cease to be amazed by its transformative effect on our client’s lives.
