About Ukraine War Animals Relief Fund (UWARF)
The Ukraine War Animal Relief Fund (UWARF) is sterilizing, vaccinating, chipping, and cataloging the dogs and cats that Ukrainians had to leave behind. UWARF has performed 5500 procedures thus far, but wants to perform 400,000 procedures ASAP. When the war in Ukraine started, about 1,000,000 pets were left behind. Without immediate action, there could be over 10,000,000 strays on the streets within a couple years. And with these dogs and cats spending time with critters in the woods, there’s a real chance that rabies will become a threat to Ukrainians, especially young children. We’re an accredited 501(c)(3) non-profit. Please consider making a donation by visiting our website or better yet, donate through your company’s online giving portal to enable a matching donation. Just $44 covers a full procedure.
