About Umbala Events

Umbala Events PTY LTD was founded in 2015 by director Ricky Simoes. In this time the company has created a number of staple events on the Central Coast NSW. The first of these events include Umina Beach Markets created in 2015 that has grown to an astounding 100 stall holders. This market has had over 100 successful events attracting about 1000-2000 people per event. Umina Markets has been a staple event for locals and tourists alike. In 2017 Woy Woy Waterfront markets was created. This intimate market is dedicated to creative products and has become a local favourite due to it's boutique style nature. One of our proudest achievements is creating Alive Plant Based Festival in 2017, which was the very first vegan festival on the Central Coast NSW. Umbala Events has hosted 6 of these events, attracting between 5000-10,000 people per event. This event was a success, as it activated a fairly quiet area to a bustling event. In 2020 this event was sold, as the founder of Umbala Events no longer followed the vegan diet and it felt like the right thing to do. Other events created by Umbala Events inculde; Umina Twilight Markets, Burwood Markets, Markets on Chapman, Kibble Markets, Sporties Market and Coastal Expos. In the last 10 years our events have been primarily focused on outdoor event and markets. Our goal is to move towards the indoor space and to create events in the corporate, fundraising, convention and networking space.
