About UnBound Seattle
UnBound Seattle is a local nonprofit dedicated to fighting human trafficking. We are committed to collaborating with our community and other local service providers to end sex trafficking and help people heal and recover from its impacts. After conducting an initial analysis of services available to victims of sex trafficking, UnBound Seattle found the greatest area of need was long-term aftercare. Eighty-nine percent of women in "the life" want to leave but have no alternatives for survival. On average, there are less than 15 beds per night available to women who have been sexually exploited in the Seattle area. UnBound opened the Hope House is May of 2015 as a long term aftercare program for survivors of sex trafficking to address this need. In the short year the Hope House has been open, women have healed from decades of trauma and abuse, overcome drug addictions, rebuilt relationships with family members, secured full time jobs, and encountered God's love.
