About Unbridled Counseling
Unbridled Counseling offers traditional talk therapy and equine assisted therapy in the Kirkland area of Seattle, set amongst the picturesque backdrop of Bridle Trails State Park. “Unbridled” is the freedom from constraints that inhibit our quality of life. Unbridled Counseling helps clients develop this sense of freedom through multiple approaches to therapy. Some people are more comfortable with traditional talk therapy in an office setting, while others want to explore using horses to work through life’s challenges. Clients determine the therapy that best suits their needs. After Kelsey Devoille, Owner/Therapist, recognized the impact that horses have had on her life personally and in the lives of her clients, she thought about incorporating them into her practice. With a desire to support others in personal growth, she was recognizing that certain clients were hitting roadblocks in talk therapy. These experiences lead Kelsey to integrate horses into her counseling practice. Her training and certification with Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA) allows Kelsey to be one of the few therapists in the region to offer equine assisted therapy in her counseling practice. Kelsey is also a member of the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International, providing opportunities for continuing education in this fascinating field.
