About UNC Women in Economics

Our club holds monthly meetings that vary in type of event. These meetings are an opportunity for members to network with professors, alumni, etc. and learn more about the economics major. The most popular meetings include professor meet-&-greets, UNC alumni panels, and speaker series. Although WIE is academic focused, we want to have members connect socially as well. We want this club to be a resource for students in the economics & STEM majors to connect with fellow students with similar interests. Our social outings include group dinners, end-of-semester celebrations, etc. This program welcomes all participants regardless of age, color, disability, gender, gender expression, gender identity, genetic information, national origin, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation or veteran status. In particular, we encourage individuals, regardless of gender, gender expression, gender identity, and sex, to participate in this program.
