About UNCF Pacific Northwest
UNCF PNW mission is to build a robust and nationally recognized pipeline of under-represented students towards becoming highly qualified college graduates. Our mission is to provide financial support as well as resources that develop and refine the minds of high school students who wish to pursue college. We also wish to ensure that our network of 37 member HBCU’s is a respected model of best practices in moving students to and through college. In the Pacific Northwest, we provide scholarships for students to attend any school of their choice including the University of Washington, Washington State University, Western Washington University and other Pacific Northwest Schools. UNCF PNW hosts 4 major fundraising events & programs including: the Mind is Gala, Each One Teach One Luncheon held in Portland, Walk for Education and the College & Career Fair. Our major program is the Portfolio Project, a 12 week college readiness experience for high school juniors and seniors.
