Uncommon Ground is an independent, family owned and operated, speciality coffee bar situated in Cardiff’s historical Royal Arcade. We are two local brothers, Paul and Ian Hayman, who have devoted our passion for coffee into roasting and serving the finest, freshest, and expertly prepared coffee to the people of Cardiff since opening in March of 2015. Our love of great coffee now manifests itself daily through the business we have created and enables us to provide Cardiff with an entirely unique experience for fellow coffee admirers – something that we felt had previously been lacking in the beautiful Welsh Capitol. Our distinctive coffee bar lends itself to a relaxing and comfortable environment – ideal for socializing, a much needed pick-me-up, or a quick bite to eat from our extensive range of handcrafted panini’s and homemade cakes. Our central location, along with a mixture of intimate and communal spaces, makes us a perfect spot for business meetings, catching up with friends or even remote working. Alongside our coffee bar in Cardiff, we have a separate roasting facility located just outside of the city centre. This is where we roast and blend our “Original Uncommon Ground Espresso”, along with our selection of single origin specialty coffees – both for use in our own coffee bar, as well as supplying personal and wholesale retailers across the country.
