Established in 2016, Underberg Dairy is a farmer-driven initiative born in response to the challenges faced by South African dairy farmers post-industry deregulation in 1998, which led to the closure of 6500 out of 8000 dairy farms. Our dedication to excellence was not a product of circumstance; it was ingrained in our ethos long before the factory stood, evident in our top-quality, award-winning products supplied today. A proud moment in our journey was winning the Business Category for the Agricultural sector at the Standard Bank KZN Top Business Awards 2023. In the same year, our mozzarella cheese received the prestigious Qualité Award at the South African Dairy Championships.
