Uni-Scope Optical Systems, Ltd. (U.O.S) has been developing outstanding custom glass and acrylic periscopes for military and law enforcement agencies since 1991. The company equips global customers with powerful cost-effective viewing solutions for Tanks, APC’s and AFV’s. All U.O.S products are renowned for improving its customer’s technological and operational edge within limited budgets. Uni-Scope’s optical product lines comprise of light handheld periscopes laminated armored glass, vision blocks, riflescopes, binoculars, long range observation systems, torch lights, tripods and optical components. The periscopes have been implemented worldwide on main battle tanks (MBT’s), armored personnel carriers (APC’s), armored vehicles, combat engineering vehicles, recovery vehicles, mobile guns and howitzers to enable the observation of external environments without exposing the occupants. Uni-Scope periscopes are well-known for their durability, reliability and enhanced ballistic protection. Combat and field-proven, the periscope lines were developed to withstand the harshest environmental conditions. All – periscopes, vision blocks and ballistic windows have been designed for improved UV resistance and temperature stability. To protect vehicles’ crew from laser related injuries, U.O.S products are optionally equipped with laser protection filters at different wave lengths and safety levels. The product ranges can be modified, adapted and produced to meet customer’s specific contract requests Uni-Scope systems have been designed and produced with state of the art proprietary technologies to improve Ultra Violet resistance, temperature stability and provide a wide range of laser protection levels. High performance and quality is reached with acrylic machining, bonding processes and lamination processes. Acrylic machining involves special machining process and special designed tooling to reach optical grade manufacturing quality.
