About Unicorn Films

Lizzette Atkins formed Unicorn Films as sole director in 2012. Their feature slate includes Sue Brooks’ LOOKING FOR GRACE (2015), which was selected in Official competition at Venice Film Festival, Jon Hewitt’s ‘X’ (2012) and cult reboot TURKEY SHOOT (2014). Currently in development and financing is NIGHTFLOWER by UK writer David Scinto (SEXY BEAST) an Australian/UK Co-production. Slated for production in 2017, Fred Schepisi’s ANDORRA starring Clive Owen, Ben Hackworth’s RUINS OF LOVE; and KID SNOWBALL. Unicorn Films is also producing a women’s horror anthology from Australia’s most exciting female talent. Atkins has a history producing theatrical documentaries including Anna Broinowski’s AIM HIGH IN CREATION (2014), selected for IDFA, and A FAMILY AFFAIR (2014). Recently completed are AACTA awards nominated’ George Gittoes’ SNOW MONKEY, selected for official competition at IDFA 2015, WINTER AT WESTBETH (Rohan Spong), selected for MIFF and SFF 2016, and MOTHER WITH A GUN (Jeff Daniels) selected for Antenna 2016. Danny Ben-Moshe’s MY MOTHER’S LOST CHILDREN is currently in production.
