The UPD is a social enterprise specialized in supporting the development of the most vulnerable communities in Colombia. The company enjoys the collaboration of experts in different sectors of international cooperation and development residing in different nations of Europe and Latin America, committed to guarantee a fair and equitable development for the most affected and vulnerable communities of Colombia. The mission of the UPD is to support development actions within a stakeholder empowerment and an international cooperation framework. To achieve our objectives, we seek to identify the high impact projects that the communities themselves are developing or are trying to organize in their territories. Consequently, it is of the utmost importance to work together with all the stakeholders involved to foster community participation and to develop with them a process of analysis with a multidisciplinary approach that can identify different contextual problems and strategies. UPD Activities include: - Support to the actors involved in the process of analysis, creation of strategies and financing of community development actions; - Training of the stakeholders in issues of analysis and elaboration of projects; - Creation and strengthening of national and international development networks; - Raising awareness about community problems and promoting sustainable development programs.
