Unifi Solar is a hybrid model of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit platform that deploys catalytic capital to deliver clean energy access for families excluded by traditional solar finance — and recycles that capital for perpetual impact. Millions of low-income households are locked out of the clean energy transition due to credit score barriers, lack of savings, and exclusion from tax-based incentives. Unifi Solar connects Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) grants and Program-Related Investment (PRI) loans with trusted installation partners and verified households, creating solar access where it’s needed most. Our hybrid model combines nonprofit capital deployment with private-market execution. Projects are managed by a mission-aligned development partner and acquired after five years, returning capital to Unifi Solar for redeployment — again and again. What makes us different is the ability to deliver both measurable impact and capital recovery, creating a flywheel of equity-driven solar deployment.
