Inspired by the personal experiences of founder and CEO Abbie Anderson, who faced isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic, Unify was born out of the need for a genuine connection in a digitally dominant world. She interviewed over 100 students and sought insights from 40 universities to gain a deep understanding of their desires and challenges. Drawing from these invaluable conversations, Unify was meticulously designed to bridge the gap between social interaction and a true sense of community. Unify embarks on a collaborative journey to develop and test new features and functionalities that resonate with its primary audience – the students. By actively involving users in the development process, Unify ensures that the platform addresses their needs, aspirations, and concerns, fostering a strong and engaged community. Recently, Unify received a resounding validation of its vision and potential, as it emerged victorious in the esteemed Greenlight Maine College Edition competition. As the recipient of the Grand Prize, Unify (Clyk) was awarded $10,000 to further propel its mission to revolutionize the student experience, bringing real connections and a sense of belonging to campuses across the nation.
