The University Network for Investing & Trading was established in 2007 and is now the largest student-run finance society in Australia. UNIT’s UQ chapter was established in 2019 and is an active student run society. Our roots stem from Sydney and we have presence at six leading national universities. Although UNIT was originally geared towards those interested in investing and trading, we have since expanded to cater to those interested in all aspects of finance. We strive to provide financial education and personal development for students and experts alike through our educational seminars, promotion of career opportunities through our social media platforms, weekly publications and professional networking for students across a diverse range of degrees and majors. Some of our keynote events for 2022 include the Citi Global Markets Challenge, Corporate Cocktails and weekly market updates. Over the space of three years, UNIT has become the fastest growing and one of the most dynamic student societies at UQ, enjoying a strong reputation for professionalism and energy. UNIT UQ has hundreds of student members and the genuine value offered to our members underlies our continual growth and stamps UNIT as the largest finance focused student organisation in Australia.
