Universal Trading T.S. Corp, known as Unitco, is a group involved directly and through its subsidiaries in the building materials and energy industries, while possessing a real estate investment arm and a port operation. Within the building materials industry, the group is vertically integrated in its core business, the timber industry. Its activities include harvesting of forests, production of sawn goods, adding value, production of energy from biomass resulting in its sawmills, shipping, trading, distributing and retailing of construction lumber, furniture wood and fiber based panels. In selected locations, billets, steel and other building materials are also part of its product mix. The production of the group is sold globally, in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Gulf regions as well as Asia. Our imports also come from the four corners of the world, North and South America, Europe and Africa as well as South East Asia. Situated in the Braila Free Zone, the group's port terminal is the leading private port of the Romanian part of the Danube river. Located in the anchorage zone for marine and fluvial ships, the operation handles all kind of products, including all kinds of building materials, logs, steel, grains and livestock. The group owns two different classes of assets in Romania and in Estonia: The operational ones, run and used in each of the group's activities described above include lands, warehouses, buildings and a port terminal. The investment ones, which include offices, residential assets as well as retail shops.
