The United Nations Association of Chicago (UNA-Chicago), in partnership with the United Nations Association of the United States of America (UNA-USA), works with foreign policy leaders, policymakers, academic institutions, nonprofits, and other organizations to advance knowledge, promote understanding, and spark informed dialogue and innovative ideas around the mission and work of the United Nations and its specialized agencies. Through various task forces and community initiatives, UNA-Chicago works to increase public awareness and encourage active participation in addressing global issues. The vision of UNA-USA is "a world in which humanity is spared the scourge of war, human rights are honored, the natural environment is protected, and the United States is a constructive member of the United Nations for the well-being of all humankind." In the Greater Chicago area, our vision aligns with this national goal by focusing on expanding public engagement and empowering local organizations to help ensure the United States and the United Nations remain effective and collaborative partners in building a better world.
