MISSION The United Way of Spokane County’s mission is to bring people together to build a strong, equitable community where the people of Spokane County can thrive. As part of one of the world’s largest privately funded charities, we serve over 550,000 people in Spokane County, Washington with our efforts to improve the quality of life for all by harvesting and investing our resources into building access to health, education, and financial stability resources. VISION United Way as an organization has been around for more than 135 years, and the United Way of Spokane County has been part of the Spokane community for over one hundred years. Our vision is to continue building a stronger, more resilient community for many more years to come by uniting the community of Spokane County as a leader and example of action and investment in the community. OBJECTIVES AND GOALS We are leaders in philanthropy, working to mobilize the community to create a better future for all in Spokane County by mobilizing the community to address inequities in education, income, and health services experienced by low-income and diverse populations. •Education: Success in life begins with a quality education.
