About United World Games
The United World Games are one of Europe’s premier international youth sports events. Featuring thrilling competitions, an electric atmosphere and world-class venues, the UWG are more than just a sporting event, they are a global festival of friendship, cultural exchange, and unforgettable experiences. Every year thousands of young athletes from around the globe gather in Klagenfurt, the capital of Austria’s southernmost province Carinthia, to celebrate their shared passion for sport. The Games offer a unique opportunity to build new friendships, foster mutual respect and demonstrate how sport can connect people across borders and cultures. Since their debut in 2005, the United World Games have grown steadily each year. In 2019 the event hosted more than 10.000 participants. After a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19, the UWG returned in full force in 2022. The 20th anniversary edition of the Games is set to take place from June 18-21, 2026.
