History UBISoc was established in the late 50s, early 60s and was initially used primarily by International Students studying at the University. In the 1960s UBISoc hosted Malcolm X, and the inaugural meeting of FOSIS. Many notable alumni have come out of UBISoc including Heads of Charities and scholars who are active in the local Muslim community today as well as many doctors, lawyers, engineers and so on.
