The Legal Analysts Society is a friend to anyone who is interested in embarking on a career in the legal service market. Our society is founded by first year Law students, believing in the importance of commercial awareness. There is a saying that 'by doing the work that others are not willing to do, you can earn achievements that they will never make.' The LAS is the one and only law-related society created by a first year law student. We aim to achieve our dreams by getting a headstart in this competitive journey. The LAS takes our preparation and investigation for a legal career a step further, by looking at the trending news articles every week to discuss the future of the legal service market. Our approach to current affairs is not only to strengthen commercial awareness, but mainly to discuss the impact on legal service providers, and those who pursue such a career. That is why we have the main element of shadowing various employers, so that we can discuss how a lawyer would react or advise regarding each of the issues brought to the table. By joining our CASG (Current Affairs Study Group) Project, you will not only be distinguishing yourself from other aspiring lawyers with a unique experience, but also be able to adapt to the continuously fluctuating social trends that a lawyer must be aware of. If you attend our events consistently, you will have acquired the ability to confidently present your opinions on the most recent issues that most of your peers are not even aware of by the end of the academic year. Throughout this year, we will be inviting professors, solicitors, barristers, and many other professionals relevant to legal service. We are already in the process of planning venues for quite a few guest speakers, some of which will be coming a long way to our university to share their knowledge and experiences.
