About University of Manchester Chemistry Society
Who are we? We are a society run by Chemistry students, for Chemistry students. We aim to be a support system for every aspect of your life at Manchester. What do we do? We aim to cover the following areas: Nights Out: Whether it’s our infamous lab coat pub crawl, our Valentine’s pub crawl, or a trip to 42’s - we love a night out! Nights In: For a more relaxed vibe, we offer events such as craft nights, coffee socials, and our annual ice skating/Christmas markets trip Academics: We know Chemistry isn’t easy (we’ve been there!), so we offer guidance and support, alongside wellbeing events during exam season. We also offer talks with internal and external speakers. Careers: For life beyond uni, we want our members to have the best start. We offer workshops on career skills, networking with PhD students and support with the transition to university. Why should I become a member? Members receive discounted tickets for all of our events, and early access to our most popular events including our end of year ChemBall We have over 100 members, and joining makes you a part of our brilliant community
