University of Missouri Association of Accounting Students is dedicated to teaching members about opportunities within the Accounting and Consulting industries while providing networking opportunities for students with accounting firms and corporations. Bi-weekly meetings are structured to have representatives from various accounting firms and corporations present on their experiences in accounting, opportunities within their corporation, and professional development tips that help further the knowledge of members and improve their professional skillset. After the presentation, students are encouraged to introduce themselves and talk with presenter(s) to better understand internship and full-time opportunities available specific to them. Additional events are held sporadically throughout the school year to provide students more opportunities to network with recruiters and with other students.
