About University of Regina Society of Petroleum Engineers
The Society of Petroleum Engineers is an international non-profit organization whose mission is to collect, disseminate, and exchange technical knowledge concerning the exploration, development and production of oil and gas resources and related technologies for the public benefit and to provide opportunities for professionals to enhance their technical and professional competence. As a student chapter we provide the engineering students at University of Regina with an opportunity for professional developments and create a strong support network. Active members will become more educated, professional, and well-rounded as individuals preparing for professional and community contributions. Additionally, SPE is the largest individual members international organization dedicated to the advancement of technical knowledge in the exploration, development, and production of oil and gas resources and related technologies for the public benefit all while providing professionals the opportunity to enhance their technical and professional competence. Our Student Chapter is dedicated to upholding these core values as well as preparing students for an exciting career in the exploration and production industry. By encouraging student to network with professionals and put their technical skills to practice, we hope to develop engineers that have a high standard of integrity and can make an exceptional impact in the E&P industry and the future.
