About University of Sheffield Women in Law Society

At Women in Law we are passionate about building an inclusive, diverse support network for underrepresented individuals aspiring to join the legal profession. We hope that by promoting greater gender equality in the law now, the next generation of legal professionals will be even more inclusive than ever before. We will organise networking events and workshops with regional and international firms and talks with inspirational women to allow you to forge the right networks to build a successful legal career. Women in Law aims to cater for interests in all legal sectors, so whether you are interested in commercial or family law we will have something for you! The Women in Law Society welcomes all, no matter what sexuality, gender, religion, race or course of study – if you’re interested in a career in the legal system, or simply wish to become a part of a society building an inclusive, diverse support network, then Women in Law is the society for you. By joining you will also have exclusive access to our monthly newsletter on current affairs, inspirational women and wellbeing! Memberships can be bought online, although non-members are more than welcome to attend events- though it will always be cheaper if you are a member! Membership cost: £5 for the academic year.
