About University of Tartu Narva College
If you want to contribute to the development of Ida-Viru County or work in a youthful, dynamic, and mission-driven team, please contact us at college@narva.ut.ee. The University of Tartu Narva College is a regional unit of the University of Tartu, located in the border town of Narva. We have around 800 students and more than 70 dedicated staff members. We offer high-quality higher education in six bachelor’s and master’s curricula. Our range of specialisations is diverse – from teacher education and youth work to entrepreneurship, IT, robotics and data science applications. Additionally, we offer a wide selection of continuing education programmes in pedagogy, management, language immersion, and youth work, making us one of the largest providers of continuing education in the region. Based on the research potential of the University of Tartu, we conduct studies and development projects both in Estonia and internationally. Our research focuses on integrated subject and language learning, topics of multicultural society and education, and the development of digital solutions for industry. Special attention is given to supporting the teachers and education system in Ukraine. We are an active partner to schools and kindergartens in Ida-Viru County in the transition to Estonian-language education and to local companies in moving towards a CO₂-neutral economy. The architecturally outstanding building of Narva College on Town Hall Square is not just an educational institution – it has also become an important cultural and community centre in the city. In cooperation with European universities, we are improving our multilingual model of education. Students from the United States, France, Sweden, the Netherlands, as well as from Estonia learn Russian here as a foreign language.
