The Investment & Finance Society (IFS) is the leading careers society at the University of York, with one of the largest membership bases in the North of England. Our mission is to represent the University of York's finance community, as well as providing financial education and hands on experience to our members. We're committed to creating a friendly and inclusive community of bright and ambitious students looking to break into the world of finance. Our aim is to introduce our members to the various opportunities available in the financial industry. We run numerous events throughout the year, including networking events with industry professionals and graduate recruitment teams, educational workshops and talks. We have a close affiliation with various other finance-related student initiatives currently running in York, including the Griff Investment Fund and SMIFUK. With active support from the most reputable firms, we have progressed immeasurably in recent years. This has resulted in an increasing number of students gaining spring weeks, summer internships and graduate roles in companies such as: Citi, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, J.P. Morgan and Rothschild.
