About Unlocking ADHD - Empowering ADHDers and their families to live life to the fullest
Unlocking ADHD’s mission is to empower ADHDers and their families to live life to the fullest. ADHD affects an estimated 5% of the population. Many ADHDers struggle with symptoms causing impaired relationships and underperformance in school, work and life leading to lost potential. Our strategy to address this challenge is through greater Awareness & Acceptance, Accessibility, Achievement and Advocacy. In just 1.5 years since its official launch in October 2021, Unlocking ADHD has become Singapore’s most comprehensive resource for information on ADHD including microsites/videos available in Chinese, Malay and Tamil. In 2023, Unlocking ADHD became a registered charity and social service agency to enable it to meet the gap in addressing the unmet needs of the underserved youths and adults with ADHD in Singapore. We have established an online peer support community of over 2,600 members and launched a foundational workshop for parents to understand and support their children with self management (executive functioning) difficulties. In 2023/2024, Unlocking ADHD plans to deliver services to uplift the ADHD community - Peer support circles, workshops, and coaching can make a profound difference in the lives of those affected by ADHD.
