About UoN Punjabi Society
Punjab has 27 million inhabitants, and at the University of Nottingham there are many students who embody its culture. We aim to bring the familiarity of 'home' to those with the Punjabi heritage, and educate those who have always been interested regardless of their own backgrounds. The society aims to bring about awareness of the Punjabi culture. We hope to explore its traditions including: language, food, music, spirituality and the renowned style of dance - bhangra. We are passionate about providing the students of the University of Nottingham with the chance to immerse themselves into all of Punjab's cultures and traditions.
