We exist to help teens in the foster system identify & nurture their passion as a way to build critical, lifelong skills. We believe that everyone has something positive to offer. And this positive thing is often linked to some particular curiosity, some special strength, that - if nurtured and explored - can develop into a dynamic skill that defines an individual and what they might contribute. Upon aging out one in five of these youth will instantly become homeless. One in two will develop a substance dependence. Only half will obtain employment by 24. Over 70 percent of female foster youth will become pregnant by 21. Over 60% of male foster youth will be convicted of a crime. Imagine if these young people had extra support geared specifically to help them nurture and explore their defining curiosities – the arts and hobbies that win them confidence, the extracurriculars that open them up to new opportunities and people, the endeavors that acquaint them with their particular selves and the special skills they could offer the world.
