MY GOAL: To help Managers, Informal Leaders, and Technical Experts become more effective and successful leaders through innovative integration of mindfulness practices geared towards better leadership. THE METHOD: A comprehensive online course called Leadership powered by Mindfulness (LpM) is the key to improvement in performance. Once each week for 90 minutes LpM members meet with Dr. Steve and learn new concepts and how to use mindfulness practice to improve leadership skills. YOUR RESULTS: A large body of research findings provides evidence of the efficacy of mindfulness as it applies to leadership development. You'll learn how to engage the “Inner Game” and develop valuable insights into your autopilot behaviors, mind wandering, reactivity, and unhelpful habits. By working the “Inner Game" through the use of mindfulness practices, you will see real-life, noticeable improvements in your “Outer Game” leadership results. EXPERTISE: As technical Director in engineering, Director of Organizational Effectiveness (including leadership development), and a Ph.D. focused on leadership and adult development, Dr. Steve knows the daily, real-world challenges leaders face and the effective, positive solutions available. On the mindfulness side, he has 14 years of training in meditation and mindfulness from some of the most exceptional teachers in the world.
