About UpRights

UpRights is an independent, non-governmental organisation promoting the rights of victims of international crimes and human rights violations. UpRights applies its expertise in the fields of international criminal law, human rights law and international humanitarian law to support the efforts of local and international actors to ensure justice for victims and accountability for perpetrators of grave violations of international law. UpRights services include advising on substantive and procedural legal questions related to mass atrocities cases, selection of the most appropriate forum to initiate litigation, supporting the development of investigation plans and assisting in the preparation of court filings. We cooperate with victims and counsel in the preparation of complaints before the International Criminal Court and in submissions before human rights treaty bodies and other international mechanisms. We work closely with all actors to promote accountability and ensure justice for victims. This includes grassroots organisations seeking assistance to bring cases to trial and national governments and international organisations implementing structural reforms in the fields of human rights law and international criminal law.
