About Uptown Columbus
Uptown Columbus, Inc. has been a major player in public and private projects that have transformed the area. When we began our journey over 35 years ago, Uptown's revitalization efforts kept these key goals in mind: 1) accelerate the renewal of Columbus' urban core, 2) recruit investors, retailers, and tenants to the area, 3) promote a vibrant and diverse Uptown, and 4) ensure Uptown is clean, safe, and attractive. Our charter encourages and supports quality development and redevelopment in Uptown Columbus. We are responsible for the management and coordination of revitalization initiatives throughout the area. Uptown’s remarkable transformation began with incredible visionary leaders and continues under the direction of a 30-member Board of Directors. Uptown is proud to note many signature projects that have helped reshape the area such as the renovation of the Springer Opera House, the addition of the RiverCenter for the Performing Arts, enhanced streetscapes, the creation of RushSouth Whitewater Park, new art installations, pocket parks, and more. Uptown has become a prime destination for shopping and is home to the most creative and unique dining experiences in the city. Living in Uptown comes with many options for walkable living from modern to historic architecture. Residents can choose from a variety of condos, apartments, lofts, and homes. Recreation options are endless with everything from a splash pad and park for the kids, to free Friday night concerts, nightlife, and more. Families and singles alike enjoy the Uptown lifestyle.
