Urban Bar-B- Que is a local chain of authentic BBQ restaurants in Maryland and Virginia. Co-founders Lee Howard and Dave Calkins first started from a small “hole-in- the-wall” restaurant in Rockville, MD but since have gained a strong following of BBQ lovers with this quick service concept. What makes Urban different from other BBQ restaurants is its commitment to the way true BBQ should be made. With a wide variety of smoked meats on the menu, Urban smoke-masters make sure that each meat is prepared and smoked honoring all the different styles of BBQ from around the United States. Each meat is slow smoked for hours from Oak and Hickory wood. Not only does Urban have a great menu but their focus on community will also raise eyes as each location gives back to local schools and organizations each year.
