About Urban Edge Environmental Consulting
Urban Edge Environmental Consulting Ltd is a specialist ecological, arboricultural and environmental planning practice operating across the UK. We assist our clients in understanding the ecological, arboricultural and environmental constraints and opportunities facing their development proposals. We provide consulting services to a wide range of private and public sector organisations, including housebuilders and commercial developers, planning consultants, architecture practices, project consortia, local government, infrastructure operators, public and private sector utility companies and regulators. Our aim is to innovate in partnership with our clients to achieve lasting, effective and creative solutions for sustainable development. Our primary focus is on the interactions between environment and development; we work on land use and spatial planning matters, including environmental planning, ecological/arboricultural surveys and impact assessment, including BNG and EIA. We endeavour to adopt a pragmatic, adaptable, commercially aware and innovative approach to enabling our clients’ objectives, while ensuring that legislative and policy requirements are fulfilled. We draw on a wealth of technical expertise and specialist experience, which we combine with a friendly, professional and adaptive approach. We are a Registered Practice of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management. All members of the technical team hold membership of a relevant professional institute, and are trained in site safety procedures as part of our ongoing commitment to Health & Safety. Our consultants and associates are fully aware of current legislative requirements and hold relevant protected species licences as required. Any licences not held directly in-house can be resourced through our network of associates. Established in 2011 at our main offices in Brighton, we have developed a strong client base across the South East and beyond.
