About Urban Hax

Urban Hax is a non-profit makerspace established in the Black Country region of the West Midlands. Its mission is to build a community of makers, designers, artisans and innovators who come together to share their knowledge, skills and crafts with other members. Our goals are to build upon the knowledge of others; establish a creative space where people can come together to nurture the basic human desire to make and; give access to tools and equipment that aren’t readily available. Through talks, classes, workshops, collaborative projects and other activities we want to encourage research, knowledge exchange, learning, innovation and sustainable practice in a safe, clean space. We provide space for creative start-ups, artisans, artists and crafts people and offer courses and workshops in a wide range of creative pursuits. We also provide work space, storage, equipment and other resources for projects related to art, science, technology and craft activities. We especially promote collaboration across disciplines to generate new ideas and new activities and this has attracted fashion designers, 3D modellers, product designers, architects, website designers, CGI artists, jewellery makers and others.
