About Urban Legends

‘Urban Legends’ is a one-of-a-kind movement that truly exemplifies the theme of camaraderie and friendly coexistence. Our vision is to introduce sports in the streets arena as an upcoming trend in Sri Lanka, and help create an opening for the establishment of teams that are capable of competing at National levels with the very best in the Asian continent. The project will provide an inclusive environment to harness the massive passion and unifying power of sports to create an open platform to engage and empower students of both state and private universities across the country, also giving them the chance to experience events with a festive atmosphere with exciting activities alongside the tournaments which will feature many celebrity sportsman and guests artists. Our aim is to collaboratively work with all leading state universities, private tertiary education institutes and leading companies, targeting a student and volunteer population of nearly 10,000. Not only does this initiative provide a platform to identify the true talents of the Sri Lankan Youth; Urban Legends is also aimed at providing necessary support to under-privileged children in rural areas to learn and enjoy the sport in Sri Lanka.
