About Urban Mission Ministries
The Urban Mission provides food, shelter and other essential services to the low income population of the Upper Ohio River Valley. Founded in 1959 as the “Mill Men’s Hostel,” the Urban Mission has grown to become one of the largest charities in the region. Today, community members, businesses, and churches of over 25 different denominations contribute to the Urban Mission as an ongoing expression of God’s compassion for the poor.
