About Urban Planning Association (UPA) Concordia
The Urban Planning Association is a sub-group student association of the Arts and Science Federation of Associations (ASFA), representing students of Urban Planning and Urban Studies at Concordia University. We are here to bring life to your social and scholarly adventures at Concordia. We, as the Urban Planning Association, strive to help our fellow urban planning students push forward in achieving their goals. We work towards enhancing the education, experiential development and local urban planning opportunities made available to the community here at Concordia University. We hope to encourage student interest in exploring their future careers more deeply, through our many initiatives that help students prepare for post-graduate life. These efforts include educational events, such as a speaker series that brings in major urban planning role models, tutorials and discussion panels, as well as chances to socialize with fellow students and professionals within and outside of the Concordia community. The UPA will endeavor to improve and raise the profile of Concordia University’s Urban Planning and Studies program within the school and towards other various planning schools.
