Urban Suburban is an Indian homegrown clothing label founded in 2017. The brand caters to a made to order business model and uses export surplus and remnants to make season-less silhouettes that can be worn around the world. Our highlights: 1) Our production is entirely in-house with our tailors being full time employees of the company. All our garments go out with the names of the tailors who make the garments. We want to be accountable and show our customers the faces behind the beautiful garments 2) We regularly show our customers "behind the scenes" so that they can catch a glimpse of how their garments are made and encourage them to ask questions 3) We use OEKO-TEX certified fabrics for all our collections 4) We use acid free and soya-based inks for our packaging paper followed by recyclable paper bags manufactured at a local NGO, Sahayam in Surat which gives employment opportunities to people with physical disabilities. 5) We make pretty bedsheets, bags and scrunchies from our fabric waste 6) We only work with surplus and remnant fabrics from factories and up cycle fabrics where ever required 7) We only make garments once we receive orders on them. No unnecessary stock builds, no unnecessary discounts 8) 75% of our workforce consists of females 9) We manufacture in small batches We are growing every year on account of our wonderful customers who have welcomed us with open arms.
